I wrote Think Outside the Box Office (TOTBO) to be the step-by-step guide for filmmakers to distribute and market their films that I wished I had when I released my film BOMB IT. In writing the book, I drew not only on my experiences, but I interviewed countless other filmmakers, distributors, publicists, web programmers, festival programmers and marketing experts.
I have now started a series of TOTBO Workshops to bring these tools directly to filmmakers around the world. Like the book, these workshops are focused on nuts and bolts tools and strategies that you can apply directly to your films. – Jon Reiss
