Think Outside The Box Office: The 2-Day Workshop for FilmmakersI wrote Think Outside the Box Office (TOTBO) to be the step-by-step guide for filmmakers to distribute and market their films that I wished I had when I released my film BOMB IT.  In writing the book, I drew not only on my experiences, but I interviewed countless other filmmakers, distributors, publicists, web programmers, festival programmers and marketing experts.

I have now started a series of TOTBO Workshops to bring these tools directly to filmmakers around the world. Like the book, these workshops are focused on nuts and bolts tools and strategies that you can apply directly to your films.     – Jon Reiss

“The workshop surpassed my expectations so much good info and I can’t wait to dive into the book! Jon clearly knows his stuff inside and out. I was blown away by the possibilities for creative transmedia for engaging with the core audience.” Stephen Aument, Filmmaker

“The workshop was full of useful information that every filmmaker should know and was presented in such a way that was both practical yet, inspirational. Through social media and other marketing tactics that Jon explained my film can have the presence I imagined for it!” Dena Ashbaugh, Filmmaker

“The workshop will give me tangible memory and supplementary info when going through the book, Think Outside the Box Office, during my upcoming distribution and marketing process. The information Jon provided frees me up to think more creatively about how to market and distribute it.
