The Reel 2 Real Youth Film Festival takes place this April 4-11. Screenings take place at Vancity Theatre, Roundhouse Community Centre, and SFU Goldcorp Centre for The Arts.

PATH WAVES: AN INDIGENOUS SHOWCASE DIR: Various (Canada, USA, 60 min)
This program invites kids to explore the joys and challenges of Native experience in our world today. Hand-drawn animations, re-imagined legends, inquisitive documentaries, and fun youth-made live action stories about the many rich histories and vibrant cultures of indigenous peoples throughout North America. Three films have French subtitles. APRIL 6 at 11 am. Coast Salish Ceremonial Welcome, music and dance performance after the screening at 12 pm.
MADE IN BC SHORTS PROGRAM (Canada, 70 min)

WE DON’T WANNA MAKE YOU DANCE DIR: Lucy Kostelanetz (USA, 96 min)
CANADIAN PREMIERE The rock/funk band Miller, Miller, Miller and Sloan hoped to make it big in 1980s New York City music scene. They had talent, a unique sound, and fans—everything but a record deal.
