Film has become a voice for people all over the world to creatively express what is happening in their countries, societies, and everyday lives. It documents real stories, gives a glimpse into another world–be it a different culture, language, or someone’s personal perspective. Film can help showcase what is important and can give anyone that unheard voice.
The Home Planet Film Festival of New York was founded to give individuals this voice. These films, the stories, and artists who have put them together are given a platform to screen. Through this process, the festival is striving to break down barriers and show truth. The festival is committed to screening films that will make a genuine difference in the world today.
The festival is accepting submissions for the following categories: narrative and documentary features, narrative and documentary shorts, public service announcements, and animation.
