“We’re driving across Canada to bring the story about Directly Affected to communities affected by the Energy East pipeline proposal,” said director and DOC BC Board Member Zack Embree in a recent interview with the National Observer. “We’re going from Burnaby Mountain to the Bay of Fundy,” he added.
The filmmaking team, which consists of Embree and film partners Devyn Brugge and Mary Lovell, is looking for individuals and communities that are inspiring the movement towards clean energy. The team has launched a crowdfunding campaign that describes their plan as “a 13,500km journey across a nation at a crossroads, seeking complex stories about fossil fuels, pipelines, clean energy and what people are doing to move the dial on climate change.”
