CANADA MEDIA FUND DOCUMENTARY INFO SESSION
An information session about the Canada Media Fund’s programs, guidelines and application process will be held in Vancouver co-hosted by CMPA-BC and DOC-BC. This is an opportunity to meet with Caroline Chopra, Deputy Director at Telefilm Canada responsible for English-language documentaries supported by the CMF, to review CMF funding results from past years, and to learn about the CMF’s various funding programs. Telefilm Canada’s Lauren Davis will also be in attendance in advance of Telefilm’s Theatrical Documentary Program’s closing date of December 9th , 2019.

Caroline Chopra has been with Telefilm Canada in Toronto since 2006, working with the Canada Media Fund (CMF) Program Administrator team. Over the last 13 years, she has held various positions within this team, and is currently Deputy Director – Portfolio Management responsible for English-language documentary programming. Prior to joining Telefilm Canada, Caroline worked at the Canadian Television Fund (now CMF), the Historica Foundation, the NFB and French-language broadcaster TFO.
Lauren Davis | Regional Feature Film Executive for the Western Region | Telefilm Canada
As Telefilm Canada’s Regional Feature Film Executive for the Western Region, Lauren Davis is responsible for supporting emerging talent through production and post-production investments in lower-budget feature films. Lauren joined Telefilm in 1998 after having worked as an independent producer. Over the last 15 years, she has held a number of management positions within the television, feature film and business-process management teams. Lauren is based in Telefilm’s Vancouver office.
